Almost lost everything of my work today.

I mistakenly shift+deleted the Papers directory which contains all the papers I wrote in the past few years. I thought I was deleting the directory in the backup drive; however, I was working in the source drive. It's like a disaster after I realized what I just did.

Oh, my god! I finally rescued myself. NO. It is Easy Recovery saved me. I got back all the things I had just lose. Thanks god!

BTW. Easy Recovery is far better than Final Data 2.

The libGL.so was found in /usr/X11/lib/mesa/amd64/. Thus, add this to the library searching path will solve the problem:

Now, I can running Windows XP SP2 in Solaris.

Why dvipdfm failed to create .pdf from .dvi in Solaris 10 x86?

It is about the version of zcat.

In my solaris 10 x86 system, the first zcat found was /usr/bin/zcat.

uncompress [-cfv] [file...]

zcat [file...]


However, I think the dvipdfm program really wants GNU version of zcat. In Solaris, it is /usr/bin/gzcat.

SYNOPSIS
gzip [ -acdfhlLnNrtvV19 ] [-S suffix] [ name ... ]
gunzip [ -acfhlLnNrtvV ] [-S suffix] [ name ... ]

Thus, link gzcat to zcat and preceeds the /usr/bin/zcat will solves the problem.

西站购火车票记

南南姑妈和姐姐要会宜昌，没法子搞到票，只好自己出面去西站碰碰运气。提前1个多小时到售票厅，听一售票员说晚7点以后只有5号窗口之后的才售票。此时6号窗口还没开，前面有2人排队，于是排第3。6点多的时候窗口开了，但要买5天之后的票要到7点才开始卖，于是排队等着。买4天之内的票可直接上前购买，不过很多人不知道，白排了半天队。而且售票员一直不停地在出4日内各车次卧铺票（只要有票就出），目的不明，不象是黄牛倒票。快到7点的时候，排第2的突然走了，于是前面又少了一个人。^_^。7点，放票了，运气不错，居然让我买了2两k49硬卧下铺。哈哈。。回家啰。。往外走的时候才发现：k，后面排队的人真多！！

小结：去的早 + 运气不错。
